Ras Ghozlani

Quick Facts:
Location: West: Northwest of the Mangrove Channel
Depth: Max: 20m (65ft)
Access: Shore, Boat
Level: SNORKELER, BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE

A pleasant site but is often over shadowed by its many powerful neighbors all around it.

The location itself consists of a steep slope that is modestly covered by coral heads. Here you will find your typical reef fish as well as some pelagic fish. It would be fair to say that you have a good chance at spotting some sharks, although you should not count on it. There are plenty of wrasse and groupers in the area and cleaner stations are a common sight.

The area is also known for its hot springs which is the reason for the yellowish-green color of the water.

A good snorkeling site from the coast which allows you to see the array of colors made by the fauna and the reef fish. Visibility is at best fair due to to the strong algal presence and averages out at 6m (20ft) for the site.
