You probably want to plan where you will stay when you visit Ras Mohamed before you get there. That is, if you are not going as part of an organized tour. Unless you plan to camp, then you will not find any hotels in Ras Mohamed itself because, for the obvious reason, building is prohibited in the lands of the National Park. Accommodation is found in abundance, however, in the nearby Na'ama Bay and the whole of the Sharm-el-Sheikh Coast. Here you can find the whole range: From the most luxurious to the backpackers' pads. Accommodation in the unique Bedouin style is also available here, but with a wider variety to choose from at the nearby town of Dahab.

If your sole intent is to dive, then you might want to check out a live-aboard. These are diving boats which offer full-board accommodation along with the diving services. Here again, the price range varies from the really cheap standard rig, to the very fancy ones.

If, however, you plan to stay for at least a week or more, than you should look into what many divers are finding to be very comfortable and much more affordable: renting a place. There are plenty of houses, studios and flats to choose from, the cheaper being in the downtown area of Sharm-el-Sheikh, Sharm-el-Maýah. There are however many affordable places at the Cliff in Na'ama Bay and at Sheikh's Coast with breath-taking views.

So here are the choices, go ahead and choose what best suits you :

To hotels:
